Those sinking feelings bleed deeper into the air I breathe
and you grow stronger in my mind
Gotta just keep on driving down that highway, speed

They're right at my heels clawing at my coat
trying to pull me down again
Slam my foot on the gas, try to shake 'em loose

Then I see his smile
and the road looks bright ahead
He's the sun beating down on the windshield
warming my soul to love again,
I've grown wings,

Should I let him take the wheel
and will he drive out the pain?
